The guild meets every second Saturday of the month (except December) just south of Asheville at the Avery’s Creek Community Center at 899 Glenn Bridge Road SE, Arden, NC, 28704. Regular Meetings
Our regular monthly meetings begin at noon and follow a fairly predictable pattern:

  • A standard 30 minute business meeting
  • Visitor introductions
  • Officer reports
  • Discussion of upcoming demonstrations, challenges, and events
  • Member “Show and Tell”
  • A brief 10-20 minute new tool or product demo
  • A detailed polymer clay technique demonstration/lecture
  • Hands-on work time under the guidance of the demonstrator
  • Our afternoon ends at 4:00pm.

Clay Days
In April and October we meet for an entire day. These are “Clay Days” where the full slate of events usually includes the following:

  • 9:00am set up and kick-off of the Silent Auction
  • Standard business meeting
  • 1-2 demonstrations before lunch (with hands-on work time as available)
  • Pot luck lunch
  • 1-2 more demonstrations after lunch
  • Presentation of “Challenge” creations
  • Conclusion of Silent Auction
  • Hands-on work time
