Meeting Report

July 8, 2006

July 2006 Blue Ridge Polymer Clay Guild meeting was held at the Avery Creek Community Center on Saturday July 8. There were 14 people in attendance including 2 new members (welcome).

Tom opened the meeting. Clay day is August 26th. Please let Barbara D. know if you plan to atttend. We need at least 10 people to pay for the room.

Don't forget to bring your work for the library display by the September meeting. Our work will be on exhibit for the month of October.

Cynthia brought a new, very ambitious (huge) bead jar for us to fill. Remember, the more beads you put in the more chances you have to win the whole thing at our April anniversary meeting.

Anyone interested in going to the Barbara McGuire workshop near Atlanta on July 27th should contact Barb VL.

Get ready for a Pen Swap. Barb VL suggested it and we are working on the details to post soon.

After show and tell and a short break Suzanne started her mega demo. Hand tinting Rubber stamped images, image transfer, combed crayon beads, making a bezel using ball chain, and "Mo-crayon gane". Wow. We are so lucky to see these innovative techniques before she shares them with the folks at Ravensdale. Thank you Suzanne.

Karen requested that we bring our show and tell from this month's meeting to the next to be photographed. Unfortunatley her camera was not cooperating at this meeting.

Next month's challenge is Fantastic Faces.

Please feel free to add anything I missed.
