Nine people attended the April meeting held at the Avery Creek Community Center. Tom started the meeting with reminders and business:
The Donna Kato Workshop planning is in full swing. Tom had flyers to hand out. See our web site for more details.
Clay day is April 22.

The sale table is available at meetings and clay days for your extra craft items. Mark with your name and price. 10% of the sale pricevgoes to the guild.
HAPPY 7TH ANNIVERSARY TO THE GUILD!
We are starting up the bead jar again. It's voluntary. If you donate a bead and a dollar you get a chance to win all the pretty beads at next years anniversary.
Then it was on to show and tell. After a short break the demos on jewelry findings and finishing began.
Maggie (me) showed a quick slide knot.
Kay did an elegant slide knot. She also demonstrated a variety of other findings and finishing techniques. Enlightening us on everything from French wire to crimp bead covers (complete with handouts).
Tom made the use of wire a little less mysterious, talking about properties of different types of wire. He also showed various tools and neat gadgets to make ear-wires, jump rings, etc.
Next month's challenge is to make a cane to bring and share at the meeting. We will be having an egg-covering workshop.
