Eleven people attended the October meeting held at the Avery Creek Community Center. Pat started the meeting with reminders and business:
There is no December meeting.
The November meeting is on the first Saturday (Nov. 5) of the month, not the 2nd.
Clay day is October 22nd.
Pat is organizing a December post card swap. Contact her by the next meeting if you want to participate.
New officers will be elected in January. With a little "encouragement" several people agreed to run.
Tom - president.
Teresa Haynes – vice president, demo coordinator.
Barbara D. – treasurer
Gail agreed to remain librarian.
Maggie (me) - secretary
Thanks to all who volunteered.
Gail announced a new acquisition for the library:
Polymer Clay Surface Design Recipes by Ellen Marshall
Then we shared our challenge pieces, show and tell.
Tom held everyone's attention with his great demo on wire wrapping. We then went to work trying wire wrapping for ourselves.
November's challenge is "fall". The demos will be PMC by Barbara S. and etching polymer clay by Kay (see guild web page for full details).
