Clay Day is Saturday, October 30th from 9 - 5 at the Avery Creek Community Center.
Cost is $10 per person at the door. Bring clay and tools and any related materials. The oven will be running all day for your creating pleasure. This is a perfect opportunity to:
- work on a project you haven't had time for
- brainstorm ideas for a project you're "stuck" on
- figure out how to use that interesting stuff you bought to use with clay but haven't tried yet
- share a technique you've been experimenting with
- learn from someone else's demonstration
- and just play!
Food: We thought it would be fun to bring a potluck lunch. So bring a dish to share!
To make the day even more fun, we'll have a raffle! Tickets will be sold during Clay Day for 50 cents each. We are seeking donations for the raffle - if you have some finished polymer clay work, tools, materials, videos, books, etc., that you'd like to donate, please bring it to Clay Day in the morning. Proceeds from the raffle will help fund future Clay Days.
The Sale Table will be open for members on Clay Day.

The challenge for November is ornaments.
The November meeting will be at A-B Tech. (there is a link to directions and a campus map on the calendar listing for November on the home page) It will be a project meeting on ornaments and gift tags.
On to show and tell and the mask challenge. (Many oohs and aahs)
Jan demonstrated two transfer techniques. One using plain paper toner copies and the other a photo transfer method. Great demo, as usual, Jan. Everyone enjoyed playing with these techniques, brousing the Members Sale Table and socializing the rest of the meeting.
