February 14, 2004
Pat Smith started the meeting on time at 12:00. There was a very good turnout of hearty souls who braved the cold and damp.
We started with some reminders:
· The 2004 dues are now due. Kay Bonitz would love to collect your $20.00.
· Also we can not leave food trash in the room over the weekend. We will have trash bags at each meeting and take the trash home with us.
The next Clay Day is April 24. Maggie and Kay volunteered to coordinate the day. There will be a fee of $10.00 for each person to cover the cost of the room and food. It will start at 9AM and continue to 5PM.
The Guild Birthday Party is coming up in April. Jan and Marion volunteered to organize the party.
There was also a discussion of the Grovewood Fair. The concensus was since there is not enough interest that the Guild would no longer participate.
Gail made the announcement that Pack Library has invited the Guild to do another display this year. Gail will need everyone's art work by July for the display.
Kay Bonitz has been working diligently to find a new meeting place. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of a good place we would be able to use, just contact Kay to let her know.
The challenge for March is Faces.
For the April meeting we will work on name tags.
At this time we went around the room to show everyone's Black and White Challenge as Irene took picures of each person's interesting project. (Click here for challenge photos.)
Jan Scarborough did a wonderful demonstration on making molds. Thank you to Jan and Suzanne for donating the molding material that we were all able to use. It was a very good demonstration with lots of great ideas.
Respectfully submitted February 16, 2004, Barbara Stock
