I remember starting the meeting
with Show and Tell: Pat Smith showed up late, but she courageously brought the bic pen she covered. You can barely see the writing on the side of the pen. She also had a matching tin. Both were made out of the remains of her mokume gane experiment and were really quite lovely. She also had some new miniatures that were too, too cute. Of course Bryd had some Alyssa (sp?) hearts and stars and other shapes. Later she showed us the molds she made to make them, and some of us made our own hearts and stars on the spot from leftover clay. We had a brief business meeting. I passed out the referral cards that Irene made up for us. And we decided to meet in December to have a Clay Day to make Christmas ornaments. Each person who is inclined to do so can demo their favorite way to make ornaments. Byrd is planning her all-day class for either January or February. Fees to be announced along with the final date. Then, of course, we had the great demo from Rebecca on creating a cane for the Wedding Ring Quilt. We were all surprised, delighted and impressed at the great results we obtained. After Byrd's demo, mentioned above, we were all clayed out and went off our separate ways. submitted by Gail Jolley, October
